Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority - Pi Chapter is a professional foreign service sorority chartered at American University in Washington, D.C. DPE is a sisterhood of highly-motivated, young individuals committed to professionalism, global citizenship and empowerment. The sisterhood is comprised of nearly 60 undergraduate students pursuing careers in various fields, all with the common theme of international service. The mission of Delta Phi Epsilon is to promote good fellowship among persons studying or engaged in foreign service. Our motto is λατρεύω (latreuo), Greek for “I Serve.” In 1973, the Alpha Chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority was founded at Georgetown University. The sorority has inducted notable national sisters including former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. Active chapters include American University, Georgetown University, the George Washington University, University of California Berkeley, University of the Pacific, and most recently, Michigan State University.
