DeltaDua ontwikkelt crossculturele theater- en muziekproducties die historische banden hebben met Indonesie en in het bijzonder met de Molukken. De producties zijn geënt op levensverhalen, volksverhalen, traditionals, werken van Indonesische/Molukse en Nederlandse schrijvers. We proberen uitwisseling tot stand te brengen tussen theatermakers, musici, schrijvers en vormgevers via (internationale) coproducties en workshop-programma’s. Onze producties zijn multidisciplinair. Muziek, zang, tekst en verhalen zijn de bouwstenen voor onze theater- en muziekconcerten en we proberen ze voor een breed publiek in het hier en nu te plaatsen. We maken vertellingen, muziekprogramma's, jeugd-, familie- en locatievoorstellingen en we streven er naar ons publiek te ontroeren en te verwonderen over de eenvoud van de mens in al zijn groot- en kleinheid. Onze producties doen een appel op de interculturele samenleving van nu door de sterke historische band tussen Nederland en de Molukken te benadrukken en ons cultureel erfgoed uit te dragen. Door uitwisseling en dialoog willen we politieke gevoeligheden overbruggen en we hopen ermee een nieuw publiek te bereiken. Cultuurontmoeting staat daarbij centraal.
