DELOS Information

DELOS is a technology-enabled shrimp farming company from Indonesia, built to prove that farmed shrimp can be a protein the world counts on. Shrimp is one of the most valuable proteins on earth and one of the least predictable to produce. Disease, water and weather swing harvests from cycle to cycle, and the industry in Indonesia remains fragmented: thousands of small farms, few shared standards, and almost no use of data. We founded DELOS in 2021 to change that from the inside. Shrimp farming here has always run on instinct: thousands of decisions made at the pond by gut feeling, and most people accept that as the nature of the business. We believe a farm should be run with discipline: a standard way of doing every job, credible numbers from every pond every day, decisions made on those numbers, and people who answer for the results. So we farm our own ponds in West Java and Bangka, and we built the operating system we run them on. Since our first harvest in 2023 we have produced more than 2,000 Ton of vannamei shrimp. Our farming and our chain of custody are ASC certified. Our shrimp has reached international markets, and we have launched our own brand, Naughty Prawn Co, for the United Kingdom and European Union. We have had bad cycles. Many of them. We keep every one on record, take the lessons, and upgrade the standard so the next cycle is executed better. Every mistake is tuition for a better result. This is what we mean by the Blue Revolution: shrimp the world can rely on, farmed in Indonesia. We are looking for people who are obsessed with fixing problems, to the point of being a little possessed by them. You do not need to come from seafood. People from outside the industry bring an outside lens, and that question nobody inside thinks to ask is often what exposes a habit the whole industry stopped noticing. If you want to build something that is still hard, come and talk to us.
