The purpose of the Delmarva Makerspace is to create a community space where we can create experiential learning in new technologies (like 3D Printing, laser cutting, robotics and more) so that they can make something and either create a business or gain better skills to improve their employment. There are many of us that are passionate about learning new things, teaching new things to others and using those new skills to create something. This is the basis of the Maker Movement. There are successful Makerspaces all around the country and many around the world. Yet were none on the Delmarva Peninsula. We want to embrace the maker movement on the shore by creating a space where everyone can gather...so that they can Discover new technologies, Learn about those technologies, Collaborate with others on how to use them, and to MAKE something!
