About the Delaware Union: A leadership team has been formed to manage the new Delaware Union club and its premier Representative program, while town level Regional or Affiliate Operational Boards in Middletown, Dover and now Smyrna have been retained to manage the grass roots growth in its independent Recreational programs. The new organization's focus and philosophy (The Delaware Union Way!) is deeply rooted in the latest player development methods. Delaware Union and its current affiliates are expected to produce 2,800+ annual Recreational program player registrations and 40+ girls and boys Representative teams serving nearly 700 travel players for a true ability based experience for all players. The club and its affiliates will operate six field complexes in Middletown, Smyrna and Dover. In the long-term, the Delaware Union will be a strategic anchor tenant in the $24 million dollar Kent County Regional Sports Complex slated for 2015 to host regional tournaments, friendlies, and a variety of travel and adult leagues within the borders of Delaware to help drive local economies.
