The company was originally known as 'Cobb Bros' and established in 1974 by Norman & Robyn Cobb before being renamed to Econopave Asphalt Services Pty Ltd in 1981. Norman started the Asphalting business in the early 1970's and gained extensive experience working along side Geelong City Council, and the Corio Shire Council in the days before amalgamation. Norman's work continuity remained steady over the years - to build and operate a successful business now operated by his two sons Michael & Matthew that has attracted the same level of respect within the industry today and supports 12 employees. Over the years, Econopave Asphalt Services Pty Ltd made its mark in the Geelong, Western District and Surf Coast Region , sourcing projects in various sectors. As with any company, succession planning is vital and the legacy of Econopave Asphalt Services Pty Ltd has now passed over to Michael and Matthew Cobb in 2014 to 'continue the dream'. Michael and Matthew have been heavily involved with the business for a combined 50 years.
