Definity Foundation Information

The Definity Foundation supports communities across Canada in pursuing climate, health, social and economic justice. With a particular focus on equity, we support solutions that address systemic barriers, especially those faced by Black, Indigenous and other racialized communities. Seeded with proceeds of the 2021 demutualization of Economical Mutual Insurance Company, the Definity Foundation works with diverse partners across the country to create positive change. We believe that those with direct experience of systemic barriers are the best positioned to implement solutions that will uplift their communities. Through partnerships, providing resources, and support for new approaches to complex problems, we’re contributing to a healthier, more equitable and just Canada.
