deFilm was conceived as an independent production company in 2009, when a group of young filmmakers came together to share their common passion for visual images. What we’ve learned along the years is that producing a movie is the complex process of constantly balancing the artistic vision with the financial and organizational framework. Experience has taught us that it is of paramount importance to encourage artists to express themselves, while ensuring that the project runs smoothly and within its parameters. deFilm stands for getting things done efficiently, passionately, in a fun and stress-free environment. In today’s movie industry, with crews becoming lighter and faster, digital cameras being more and more efficient and shooting on film becoming affordable, we strive to achieve performance by handling productions accordingly, wisely and with a fresh approach.
