DEF is an independent French company established in 1958 and specialising in fire safety system solutions and services. DEF supports projects of all sizes, from design, production, installation and commissioning through to maintenance and future-proofing of solutions. We are a member of the independent international DEF Network which consists of over 60 companies, each contributing its own specific expertise in complementary fire safety businesses: fire detection, automatic suppression, smoke control, safety PA/VA systems, management of emergency exit doors, video, access control, safety, etc. DEF supplies major European and international sites such as the Louvre Museum and Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, the royal palaces in Saudi Arabia, the Palais des Congrès conference centre in Tunisia, Abidjan airport in the Ivory Coast, the SIR (Société Ivoirienne de Raffinage), and more. DEF also draws on over 35 years of expertise in the nuclear sector to equip 40% of plants in France and China, and two plants in South Africa.
