The company was established in 2012 by Erin Moscati, a passionate leader in environmental education and community advocacy. Erin has demonstrated a commitment to environmental stewardship through her work in higher education creating a variety of recycling and environmental awareness programs, educating the community in green building design, and consolidating and restructuring programs to promote efficiency and cost savings across campus. Erin began Sustainable Design Solutions to focus on solutions to designs, policies, and operational programs. Sustainable solutions are long term solutions that benefit and enhance the well-being of numerous stakeholders. Sustainable design leads to operational efficiencies that create long term cost savings. While creating comfortable and enriching environments for users, our innovative designs can act as teaching tools for students and the community. Though quite affordable, we will identify funding opportunities at the State and Federal levels which help promote energy efficient and sustainable designs. As a regional advocate for sustainable design and construction, we facilitate collaboration as a unified voice for the tri-county Central California Coast region, to preserve and improve the unique quality of life, where every new or renovated building enhances the health and well-being of our built and natural environments. The Central Coast Green Building Council is continuing the transformation of the Central Coast into a sustainable community, economy, and environment through education and advocacy of green building design, construction, and operational excellence.
