Decom North Information

Decom North offers decommissioning and circular recycling of wind turbines. The affiliated companies, dismantle and transport all materials to recycling plants. For recycling of composites two options are offered. The written-off rotor blades can be transported to a recycling factory in Eemshaven. Here the blades will be processed into smaller pieces until eventually only granules remain. These form the raw material for new products, such as moulds, bridges and crane mats. Another option is to process the composites and synthetic resin into a new raw material for the cement industry. This raw material then replaces sand, which is normally used.
