We are a startup producing a game designed to be used in first-grade classrooms to help screen for Dyslexia and educate teachers more about how they can help their students with learning differences succeed in the classroom and beyond. Through much laborious research and interviews we pinpointed two major areas of pain in the Dyslexic community: firstly, late diagnosis is responsible for a much more challenging academic career path for students. Screening is not encouraged, mandated, or known about at most schools. Secondly, we realized there is a lack of education about Dyslexia within the teaching community. Our product helps solve these issues through arming teachers with knowledge and resources concerning Dyslexia as well as providing a game as an avenue for preliminary screening. This product is a painless preliminary screening and that is what makes it so unique.
