The main mission of Chulalongkorn University is to be the center for academic learning and professional excellence. This is in line with the vision of the university’s founder, King Rama VI, who established the university as a tribute to his father, King Rama V. The first and only full, not-for-profit International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in Bangkok, NIST International School was established in 1992 with the support of the United Nations. We now welcome over 1,800 students representing more than 75 nationalities and provide all three IB programmes: the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme. We are governed by the parent-elected NIST International School Foundation and is accredited by the Council of International Schools and New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Beyond the rigorous, progressive IB curriculum, we are a values-driven school that seeks to provide unique learning opportunities for all students. Established in 1951, International School Bangkok (ISB) is an independent, non-profit, co-educational day school serving a community of over 60 nationalities from Pre-Kindergarten through to Grade 12.
