DEARSAN specializes in providing services for design and construction of sophisticated naval ships including the integration of weapon combat systems and also complex commercial vessels like tug boats, oil/chemical tankers, fast passenger ferries. DEARSAN has a proven capability as a ''world class'' design, engineering, fabrication and building with its shipbuilding facilities and experienced workforce. DEARSAN Shipyard complies with NATO SECRET Facility Security Clearance, NATIONAL SECRET Facility Security Clearance, ISO 9001-2008, OHSAS 18001:2007, ISO 14001: 2004 and SaSaD Defence Industry Manufacturers Association Certificates. Since its establishment in 1980 DEARSAN Shipyard has built, fabricated, repaired, and modified numerous sea and river going vessels. Furthermore, DEARSAN is the main contractor for the 16-piece ''Tuzla'' Class Patrol Boat Programme whose tender was called by Undersecretaries for Defence Industry in order to meet the requirements of the Turkish Naval Forces Command. The design of the 57 meter Tuzla Class Patrol Boat has been developed by DEARSAN's in-house concept design. In addition to being the first warships built by Turkish shipbuilding industry, the ''Tuzla'' Class Patrol Boats incorporate the defense systems designed and manufactured for the first time by local defense industry in Turkey.
