DEA is an education charity that promotes global learning. We work to ensure that people in the UK learn about global issues such as poverty and climate change and develop an open-minded, global outlook. Our present focus is on schools and youth work. We work to change what people learn and how they learn, through influencing policy and improving educators' practice. Our national network of member organisations and supporters share our conviction that the role of education today is crucial in shaping a better tomorrow. DEA's members include many large development and environment NGOs, as well as a wide network of Development Education Centres and education NGOs based locally around the UK.
