DC Green is dedicated to helping property owners prepare for the ongoing change we will see due to climate change — increased energy and water costs, physical environment changes, and more. In the US, 70% of our carbon emissions come from buildings; this includes climate management, water efficiency, and impermeable surfaces, which contribute to stormwater runoff and flooding. We analyze the property status (types of appliances, needs, uses, opportunities, etc), compare incentives and possible revenue streams available to the property, then implement the most effective changes. We partner with other small businesses in the area to provide the best option for the property owner. We also manage the application for the building to gain a certification, such at Green Building Council's LEED awards. Our ethos is rooted in the necessity of full-scale community efforts to correct our style of carbon consumption. The team at DC Green works with the needs of each client to find the best ways to improve quality of life while fostering dramatic reduction in emissions.
