Since 1995, DHG has been heavily involved in giving back to the community, from fundraising efforts to organizing local events to help raise awareness of global issues. In 2009 we began our relationship with a grassroots non-profit organization called MANA (Mother Administered Nutritive Aid) whose focus is to prevent the deaths of small children suffering from Severe Acute Malnutrition (S.A.M.). By creating a vitamin-fortified, peanut butter based supplement, MANA has begun production and distribution of this product in Africa and other Third World Countries. S.A.M. is a global epidemic that affects millions of children a year, and our goal is to one day eliminate it completely.
