Davis & Davis, P.C. is a “boutique” law firm with only two practice areas: employment law and family law. That means that our law firm is comprised of attorneys who are 100% dedicated to mastering one area of the law. John Davis manages the Employment Law group and has been practicing employment law exclusively since graduating from law school and then launching Davis & Davis, P.C. in Boston in August 2002. The Employment Law group typically represents individuals in their claims against the employer, but the Employment Law group has been corporate counsel to dozens of small to mid-size businesses over the years. Davis & Davis, P.C. is willing to represent small to mid-size companies that inadvertently run afoul of regulations or labor laws provided these companies are committed to fostering a healthy and productive work environment for both employees and management. The Employment Law group’s clients cover all types of employment law issues, including: Sexual harassment cases Pregnancy and other types of discrimination Unpaid wages/commissions/bonuses Severance package reviews and negotiations Misclassification of employment Breach of contract Unemployment appeals (DUA) Non-compete and other restrictive covenants FMLA claims and various other torts. The Employment Law group has extensive experience with mediation, arbitration, and litigation in state agencies, state courts, federal agencies and the Federal District Court for the District of Massachusetts. The Employment Law group’s attorneys are all members of the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association (MELA) and participate in various pro-bono programs.
