Born in 1986, David Irwin grew up in Northern Ireland before moving to the North East of England to study furniture design. After graduating in Three-Dimensional Design from Northumbria University in 2007, he completed a fellowship in the Designers in Residence Programme at Northumbria's School of Design in 2010. In 2011, he established his own design studio in Newcastle Upon Tyne. David Irwin has designed for renowned brands such as Another Country, Case Furniture, Juniper, and Bute, showcasing his versatile talent across various fields including furniture, lighting, accessories, and textile design. His work is defined by a commitment to creating engaging and enduring products that enhance daily life. Irwin’s design philosophy centres on simplicity and functionality.
