Davey Law is the trading style of Davey Law Limited, formerly Davey Franklin Jones (solicitors) of Cirencester and Gloucester. The firm was formed from the amalgamation of two previously independent firms of solicitors - Franklin & Jones, founded in Gloucester in 1886, and Davey Son & Jones, founded in Cirencester in 1946. With the exception of criminal law, which we do not practise, Davey Law is a full service firm catering for individuals, families, businesses and not for profit organisations. The firm prides itself on taking time to get to know our clients, and then to do what is best for them, rather than what may suit us best. This means that we take the time to explain the issues and look for solutions that address problems in the round, rather than simply 'selling' an answer to the most immediate or most obvious question. We take a common sense approach that’s based on listening with a purpose: to understand, explore options and offer practical support. We’ve helped countless individuals and organisations deal with personal and professional issues that range from employment law to catastrophic injury claims, from divorce settlements to tax planning – and we do so in a cost-effective way. The firm was renamed in 2014, reflecting the major changes in management style and focus that had happened in the previous three years, and setting the scene for further changes and developments in the years ahead. Change is not just good, it is inevitable, and our aim is to embrace it, learn from it and grow with it.
