DAUF Information

In 1984, the informatics took its first steps outside the large electronic centers and tried to reach first the small and medium-sized enterprises, and then also the consumer market. The scenario was completely different from today's, almost incomprehensible to those who haven't lived through it or don't pause for a moment to think about it. The Commodore 64, the progenitor of the Personal Computer, had just arrived on the market and conquered the curiosity of private users. Company computers, on the other hand, were as large as four-door cabinets but had less memory than our Smartphone. It was another world! In this context so different from today, the Board of Directors of Unione Farmaceutica SA, demonstrating that it has an incredibly future-oriented vision, decided to found an IT company that dealt with the automation and digitization of its distribution processes. On that day in June 1984, the IT company DAUF SA was born.
