DataSense is a specialized Data & AI consulting company helping organizations establish data as a strategic business asset. We act as an independent, vendor-neutral partner focused on turning data ambitions into measurable business outcomes. We are not a traditional consulting or implementation provider. Our role is to structure and guide the data journey—helping organizations identify high-value use cases, design data and architecture foundations, and build the capabilities, teams, and ecosystem needed for success. We set up and support Data & AI programs, enabling organizations to independently plan, manage, and execute their initiatives. This includes training (including Data Literacy for leadership), project management, quality assurance, and knowledge transfer. Our approach is based on DAMA-DMBOK and hands-on experience, covering the full lifecycle—from Data & AI Strategy to execution through a Data & AI Operating Model, with Data Governance as a key foundation. We help organizations define and prioritize use cases, establish trusted and governed data foundations for BI and AI, design governance structures (roles, processes, ownership), and support the delivery of data products and platforms. Our services include Data & AI Strategy, Data Maturity Assessment, Operating Model & Governance Design, Data Literacy, Functional & Technical Specifications, Project Management, Quality Assurance, Data Modeling, and Data Product design. We collaborate with implementation partners while maintaining an independent advisory and program leadership role. The company is built on strong expertise and a practical approach. Founders Mitja Hafner and Marko Škufca are active contributors to the professional community and founding members of the DAMA Slovenia Chapter (forming chapter).
