Datascension Pathways Information

Datascension is an edtech platform designed to build capability in data and analytics through applied learning, project work, and career preparation. Instead of relying on lectures or rigid course sequences, it is built around a story-driven learning game where learners develop mastery through exploration, challenges, and demonstrated understanding over time. Learners begin in Datescension, the Learning Phase of the experience. Datescension is the story-driven game world where learners complete an initial foundation and can continue exploring quests and challenges in a non-linear way. Reaching a milestone in Datescension unlocks ascension into Datascension. After ascending, Datescension remains available as a place learners can return to for reinforcement and continued practice while they work through higher-stakes projects. Datascension contains two additional phases. In the Project Phase, learners build and iterate on portfolio projects aligned to distinct career pathways, each with its own scope and evaluation criteria. In the Results Phase, learners refine and present their work through portfolio review, mock interviews, and project defenses, building the ability to tell their story to employers. The platform is designed to be accessible without upfront payment, with optional paid support for learners who want additional feedback, coaching, or faster access to guidance. The goal is not just to teach tools, but to help learners develop judgment and communication skills that hold up in collaborative work and interviews.
