DATA Information

DATA is a non-profit extracurricular data science group co-founded by 4 Computer Science students at ICMC, University of São Paulo. Our dream is to be at the forefront of the forces that make São Carlos a growing international hub for Data Science and Machine Learning. Our group has several study and research fronts where members share knowledge and discuss cutting-edge techniques in areas such as: Explainable AI, Natural Language Processing and Classical Machine Learning. We currently offer an introductory data science course for university students and the general public, teaching basic DS concepts and technologies such as Python, Numpy, Pandas, data preprocessing techniques and frameworks. This course is also used to prepare new members for more advanced study topics. We also help connect people with advanced knowledge in the field to promote discussions, including organizing public events with notable speakers from both academia and industry in the areas of Machine Learning and AI.
