Our goal is to create a lasting, high-impact, high-integrity market for nature that can mobilise long-term institutional investment in the world’s forests and oceans. The Darwin Fund is a blended-finance platform and natural-capital on-ramp for institutional investors. Our founding ambition is to build towards a $100M seed fund dedicated to high-integrity, science-based nature restoration and protection — supporting the conservation or restoration of 60 million acres of rainforest and 100,000 miles of coastal and ocean habitat, and helping protect 5,000 at-risk species. Darwin Vantage, developed by Redpill Group, strengthens our ability to deliver that vision by identifying where value exists, what is preventing it from being realised, what should happen next and where capital can genuinely help. The California Optimization Bond, with Napa County as the first major proof point, is the first major live application of that capability — connecting resilience, water, infrastructure, insurance and finance to help move more resources upstream, before disaster strikes.
