Richard has an extensive history with food and nutrition and is the founder of Darwin Dietitians. He originally trained as a Chef before studying to become a Dietitian. He now combines these skills to provide clients with very tasty menu options when tailoring their personal meal plan. Prior to moving to Darwin, Richard worked in two of Australias leading health retreats, sharing his insights and concepts that some described as life changing. His work at Darwin Dietitians includes seeing clients in one-on-one, holistic consultations where he considers your eating and activity patterns. Consultations also include insight into your body composition using InBody 720 composition analysis. When it comes to preventing or managing obesity we now know its not always as simple as energy in, energy out, there is a need to understand the functional role food has on the body as well as the potential damaging effects Richard is the why and what for of nutrition and he is passionate about all areas, particularly the management of chronic diseases to improve the health and quality of life in patients.
