About Us Darla is a premium slow fashion brand that celebrates the beauty of bygone eras with handmade-to-order British designs. Each of our ethically-made creations is inspired by the delightful charm of femininity, and is crafted with dreamy details like frills, ruffles and oversized collars. To put it simply, we create sustainable clothes for lovers of nostalgia, romance and whimsy. Every one of our styles is hand cut, sewn and finished in-house at our Greater Manchester studio and 50% of our collections are made using only the finest dead-stock fabrics. We source all our materials from within in the UK and every piece is lovingly made to order and on limited runs. -Our Founder- Darla was founded in 2019 by pattern cutter and dressmaker Amy He Amy has worked in the fashion industry for over 10 years, owning a beloved high street brand that was stocked around the world, as well as running a highly successful London design studio that has created garments for international retailers, celebrities and film studios. However as a true lover of dressmaking, Amy always dreamed of bringing her expertise to the slow fashion movement. Her independent fashion label Darla is her way of expressing her passion for the art of craft while also doing her part to contribute to a more sustainable industry. She hopes Darla and its design studio can offer women a sustainable way to own beautiful clothing that’s made to last and has a story to tell.
