DarkHorse builds and operates industrial-scale power and compute for AI — connecting at the distribution level to bring capacity online in the places others overlook. Most AI infrastructure is being built one way: enormous greenfield campuses, transmission-level interconnects, and queue positions measured in years. We took the other side of that trade. We develop smaller, distribution-connected sites on existing industrial land — power that is already there and already underused. It is a different unit of construction, and it changes the math. Faster to energize. Closer to the load. Small enough that a town can actually absorb it. WHAT WE OPERATE Approximately 50 MW energized across four sites in Tennessee and Kentucky, concentrated in the Tennessee Valley Authority region, plus 5 MW newly contracted at the Holland Substation in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. A proposed 50 MW data center in Hopkinsville, supported by an $8–10 million substation investment, remains subject to regulatory approval. HOW WE BUILD Closed-loop cooling. Batteries first. No community NDAs. No tax abatements. We would rather answer the hard question at the county meeting than route around it. Technical enough to trust, human enough to welcome.
