The Dark Data Project helps people surmount data barriers. We specialize in uncollected, unstructured, obfuscated or otherwise problematic dataflows. Our team represents a breadth of expertise in data science, public policy, demographics, governance, security and humanitarian design. There are currently three workstreams for organizations to work with the Dark Data Project: :: Our consulting and advisory services empower organizations with complex data acquisition and analysis requirements, particularly low-fidelity human-driven datasets. :: Our incubator program invests in innovative startups and local technology NGOs. :: Our pro bono mandate allows us to commit a percentage of every year's output, for free, to underfunded nonprofit initiatives.
