Gloucester Public Schools serve approximately 3,102 students. Pre- Kindergarten through Grade 12 in a Preschool, five elementary schools, one middle school, and one comprehensive high school. We expect to achieve that through a school system that engages in an active partnership with families and the community, is proactive in honoring diversity and meets the academic, physical, social, and emotional developmental needs of all our students. The School Committee expects that students will experience a curriculum that is aligned to the state curriculum frameworks, and is broad, balanced, rigorous, differentiated in that it is developmentally appropriate, and relevant to the lives of students and that of the community.
