Danforth Art is a museum and school that invites you to see, learn about, create, and be inspired by art. Danforth Art educates the public through its Permanent Collection of American art from the 19th century to the present day, changing exhibitions of contemporary artists, studio art classes and workshops, and a variety of community outreach programs. On May 13, 2016, Danforth Art received notice that it must vacate the municipal-owned Danforth Building. Danforth Art’s administrative offices, collections storage, and art school studios opened in January 2017 in their new home-- the Jonathan Maynard Building on Framingham Centre Common in Framingham, Massachusetts. There are currently no museum galleries or exhibition spaces in the Jonathan Maynard Building; museum exhibitions will take place offsite at museums, schools, and community partners through 2017. More information is available on the Danforth Art website at www.danforthart.org.
