DANCING WITH THE STUDENTS Information

What we teach is so much more than dance. Dancing with the Students, believes every child deserves access to the arts. Since 2005, our 10-week ballroom dance program has worked with schools in underserved areas to bring rhythm, joy, and vital life skills to students in 5th through 12th grade. Waltz, Swing, Tango and Merengue are the primary styles of dance used to practice, develop and build tangible self-esteem, deep respect for others, and a foundation of personal confidence that extends far beyond the classroom. Led by exceptional professional dancers, teaching artists, and choreographers, our inclusive program transforms school gymnasiums and church basements into spaces of hope, teamwork, and fun. What started as a local initiative has grown into a national movement.
