Danceworx Information

Danceworx was founded in 1988 and is the oldest student-run dance group on the UC Berkeley campus. For over 20 years we have been providing students with a creative outlet to choreograph, dance, and perform in a fun and supportive environment! Dancers are selected at the beginning of each semester and practice routines in various styles: Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Tap. Each semester culminates in three performances: two outdoor showcases on the UC Berkeley campus and an evening showcase in a local theater venue. Our showcases attract over 400 attendees each semester and also feature guest performances from campus and local community groups to foster unity and promote diversity among UC Berkeley’s performing arts community.
