Inspired by the joy of dance and theatre, Dance Desire shares a brand edit of more than 30 design houses. Through the combination of our extensive online space and destination boutique, we are passionate about building meaningful relationships and contributing positively to the Australian dance community. Business owner and founder Myfanwy was struck with inspiration over 20 years ago while sitting outside her children's dance class. A savvy dance Mum herself, Myfanwy knew there was significant demand for good quality, preloved dance costumes, shoes and props. Initially collecting and selling items on consignment for clients, Myfanwy soon realised that in order to make her business sustainable she needed to expand her product offer and open a shop of her own. "The business grew rapidly, taking over my car boot, spare room, garage and storage sheds," recalls Myfanwy. In 2002 Dance Desire officially launched, growing from strength to strength over the years to now be considered one of Australia's leading in-store and online dance stores, catering to all dance genres. Dance Desire is proud to support the Dance Community by providing quality dance wear and accessories on trend, on stage and en pointe.
