"Damini Foundation" is a Company incorporated u/s 25 of Indian Companies Act, 1956. This is a organisation established for the betterment and upliftment of the society. Damini, the name is dedicated to the girl who became an unfortunate victim to the heinous crime, a victim to someone’s cruel intentions. The name itself brings to our mind the painful memory of the Gang Rape which happened in our Nation’s Capital on 16th December 2012. The incident took away the life of an innocent human being in the most painful fashion; it shattered the life of a family which had many dreams for the girl. The girl tried to fight in vain with the nature, but in the end, even God could not bear her suffering and called her to him. Now, the girl is no more. What are left behind are the dark and painful memories and the fear in the minds of every human being, especially women. The news of the girl’s death spread like fire and ignited a fire in every Indian to stand up against such inhuman acts.
