In the contemporary world, where everyone is connected, information is available at a click, and attention spans are short, we believe in taking the time to dig deeper and we invite the viewer to slow down and look more closely. Dalam was created in 2014 by a small group of documentary photographers who believe in the continuing importance of telling in-depth stories about contemporary issues or situations, through images. We find topics, close to home or further afield, that fascinate, surprise, inspire and move us. Working without any external constraints or expectations, we express each story through our individual voices. We strip away stereotypes and look at the world with fresh eyes.
