Daisy Hicks Music Information

The incredibly talented English-born, Australian-raised singer/songwriter Daisy Hicks. Daisy is a prolific songwriter, recording artist and performer whose music has been heard around the world. Classically trained, Daisy comes from dignified music lineage - her father Tony Hicks was the legendary jazz drummer (BackDoor) and her cousin is international recording artist Chris Rea. Daisy's first commercial release "Mistress" was with Concept Music and included the singles "What Are You Gonna Do", "Sweetest Feeling", "Don't Even Go There" and the title track "Mistress". Her 2nd studio album DAISY was a truly international collaboration - co-written with UK songwriters Aron Friedman, Malcolm Maddock and George MacFarlane and she co-produced the album with multi-CMAA award winner Australian Matt Fell. On her 3rd album, Daisy co-wrote with Stefan Örn (wrote 5 Top 5 Eurovision songs including the 2011 winner) and Jeff Franzel. The album was recorded and produced at Andres Bagge’s studio in Stockholm. 2 Singles from this album were remixed by The Body Bangers, 7th Heaven, Almighty and Steve More and received massive club support around the world. Daisy is currently working on her next album and has released 6th EPs to radio. "French Cafe" was recorded at Berry House Studios on Elton John's old piano and has been remixed by Michael Gray and Jon Pearn (MetLife). “I Chose You” has 3 versions - the Original produced by Curtis Schwartz; a fantastic remix by Sir Piers that features Matt Cooper on keyboards and guitarist Franciso Sales (Incognito); and an infectious remix by Ruff Diamond with heavy influences from early Sade. “Upside”, “When I’m Gone”, “The Fall” and now “Lifeline” are all getting huge exposure on jazz, soul and ac stations around the world. Daisy has worked with some amazing producers on the new material including Metlife (Michael Gray/Jon Pearn), Sir Piers, Brian Power, AM2PM and Alex Di Ciò.
