Dad Guild Information

At Dad Guild, we believe that when dads and masculine-identifying caregivers are engaged in their caregiving roles, children experience positive outcomes, dads experience positive mental health benefits, large steps towards gender equality are taken, and generational cycles of harm are disrupted. Our organization utilizes a multifaceted programming approach to meet dads where they’re at, with many different avenues into our parenting community. Dad Guild’s primary programs include: -Fatherhood Peer Support Network - A network of over 2,000 dads across the state, although primarily in Chittenden County. Dads are provided with different opportunities to connect with one another in a variety of settings. Regular offerings include a monthly peer support campfire, weekly basketball, board games, a new dad cohort, Black dad hangs and a warmline. -Dads & Kids - Monthly opportunities that foster the connection between dads and their kids, develop connections with other caregivers, and model environments for children where they are surrounded by actively engaged fathers. Regular activities include playground playgroups, library playgroups, nature walks, sledding, crafting events, fire station visits and community dinners. -Caregiver Education - Dads are provided with a variety of opportunities for deepening their understanding of topics such as potty training, social emotional development, gender equality and how to talk to kids about racism. Topics are explored through workshops, book groups, and a monthly podcast. Dad Guild primarily serves anyone who identifies as a dad, their children and their families.
