D2i - Design to innovate Information

D2i – Design to innovate is a design cluster aiming to generate business development and growth in private enterprises, through the use of design as a method for innovation. That is, D2i is focused on design as a strategic tool for Danish companies to enhance their productivity and business development and, thus, promote growth and improve competitiveness.  D2i offers a wide range of activities that cover a broad spectrum - all with a focus on how design methods and design-thinking can inspire innovation in small and medium-sized companies and organisations in regards to their products, services and business development. It aims to establish lasting collaboration agreements by means of our match-making counselling.  D2i has strong roots in the regional research and design environment, in partnership with national design-oriented companies and public institutions, such as Capital of Children, Design School Kolding, Kolding Municipality and the University of Southern Denmark Kolding. The ambition of this partner network is to build a developing and inclusive design cluster, where all companies, knowledge institutions and other public institutions can take part, contribute and find new knowledge and partnership opportunities within the field of design. Among our projects, we highlight DANISH™, an online magazine promoting Danish design and architecture, as well as our training courses that are directed for the participants to achieve design-thinking methods and understand how to implement them in their organisations.
