Cyrano Therapeutics has developed a unique, proprietary intranasal formulation to restore function in patients with a chronic loss of taste and smell. This is a condition affecting more than 40 million people in the US and Europe and millions more across the world, having a significant impact on safety, quality of life and well-being. Currently no marketed pharmaceutical therapy exists and aside from the Cyrano product, none are in the pipeline. The Cyrano formulation (CYR-064) has been tested with success in a 92 patient pilot study and the Company is currently enrolling patients in a Phase 2 placebo-controlled double-blind randomized trial at 14 sites in the United States with data readout expected in Q1'25.
