First we reduce energy demand. As obvious as this sounds, many organisations rush straight for the boiler house (i.e. the energy supply), which ultimately deprives their customers of valuable savings. Then we supply energy in the most cost-effective and carbon-efficient fashion - e.g. combined heat-and-power (CHP) plant, boilers, renewables (including solar and biomass) and heat pumps. We have considerable experience in reducing other estate-related costs, e.g. by implementing low-maintenance equipment and supporting staff to improve working practices.
