Cynar Plc - Converting End Of Life Plastic to Liquid Fuel Cynar Plc has developed and patented Technology which converts a wide range of end of life plastics into liquid fuels, mainly diesel which Cynar calls - End of Life Plastic to Diesel (ELPD). This unique Technology converts mixed plastic grades into synthetic fuels which are cleaner, lower in sulphur and in the case of the diesel, a higher cetane than generic diesel fuel. The first pilot ELPD plant received all required permitting and licensing and is in Portlaoise, Ireland. The second commercial plant (the 1st of 8 plant orders) is being commissioned in Spain while the third plant is being built in Spain also and will be commissioned in Q1 2015. The 4th plant is part of a pipeline of 20 contracted plants in South America with the same customer, who is also a strategic partner in the Cynar Technology business.
