CyberLucent has created a software platform that adds a layer of intelligence to network edge devices (routers, gateways, servers). The software is extremely lightweight, operating at line speed such that partners can add it to their devices without sacrificing performance. The technology is compatible with both new devices as well as most legacy edge devices already deployed. Our solutions provide advanced security, better performance, and detailed insights/analytics for not just the edge device, but also for connected endpoint devices as well as the traffic flowing through the entire network. We can also identify the devices and applications that are flowing through an edge device, enabling partners to enforce more robust networking and security policy controls from the cloud and the edge. We believe that edge devices / routers are an ideal place to process the information that is critical to advanced AI capabilities – CyberLucent lives on these edge devices and processes all information flowing through the network. This positions us well to support the migration from processing data relevant to AI in the cloud to processing it locally on edge devices. Local data processing (and preprocessing) dramatically reduces costs, improves privacy, and provides critical performance improvements that will be required for a variety of use cases (such as lower latency for IoT devices and robotics).
