Founded in 1986 and initially focused on the distribution of modelling-related products, Les Trois Pylônes evolved into the distribution of a new hobby: Airsoft. As a pioneer in this segment in France, and to better suit this new activity, the name Cybergun was adopted in 1999 at the same time as the group's stock market listing. Its expertise and knowledge of the market have enabled it to become one of the world leader in licensed airsoft replicas, with over 20 exclusive licenses today. Building on this success in the airsoft world, in 2016 Cybergun launched its military division: Spartan M&LE to meet the needs of armed forces, police and security forces worldwide in terms of training replicas. In 2018, Cybergun strengthened its BtoC strategy by acquiring several stores dedicated to airsoft to consolidate its market position. As part of this development strategy, at the end of 2020, Cybergun acquires the Valantur group and puts an end to the Spartan M&LE project, creating a B.U. that now brings together defense and industry: Arkania. This acquisition adds significant industrial expertise to the group, and enables it to form strategic partnerships with Thales and Ruag. After several years of close collaboration on the US market, Cybergun and Evike have developed a major new BtoC website: evike-europe.com. This decision enables the group to accelerate its BtoC strategy in Europe. In 2022, to strengthen Arkania, Cybergun decided to buy Verney-Carron, the last manufacturer of hunting weapons and defensive weapons for law enforcement and armed forces in France. Cybergun is now a key actor in airsoft, simulation and defense in France and abroad.
