CWA House Information

CWA House maintains a home-like environment for country people, and coming through the front door is very much like walking into a welcoming sun room. While our focus is to provide a homely environment for our residents, the culture of the home varies to meet the changing needs of the residents. Many staff and residents are locals, which results in a strong sense of family and belonging. Staff are always happy to stop and spend time with or assist residents, and local volunteers also spend time ensuring residents do not miss out on the social aspects of the community. Home cooked meals from seasonal menus have been approved by a dietician to meet specific dietary requirements and resident choice and recipes have been tried and tested over many QCWA tables. Residents are given many opportunities to participate in various activities, assisted by dedicated activities staff. CWA House is within walking distance of shops, churches and medical facilities, and the site's natural surroundings provide comforting and peaceful vistas.
