CUT/SEW Patternmaking Information

CUT/SEW is an artist-owned startup creating beginner-friendly sewing patterns for an 18-24 demographic, focusing on contemporary silhouettes and cosplay-friendly styles. All patterns are printed on reusable 20 lb recycled bond paper – not tissue paper – and are packaged in reusable zip-top bags. Instructions are entirely digital, meaning less paper waste, and feature easy to understand language and full sentences geared towards beginners. Newer patterns also feature clickable links to video tutorials embedded right in the instructions themselves. All products are created and printed in house in our Orlando-based studio, with most patterns available in both paper and digital format. We currently operate primarily as an e-commerce business, with pop up shops and trade show events all around the country plus stockists on both coasts.
