Custom Security Services was founded in 1985 by the company's present chairman, Paul Staff. Paul started working in the security industry in 1973. After many years working for both local and national companies he felt that the services being offered in the industry were not meeting customer's needs so started Custom Security with the sole focus of delivering a custom solution and attentive levels of service for every customer. The company received NSCIA (later becoming NACOSS) accreditation in 1986 and was one of the first 50 security systems companies in the UK to achieve ISO quality assurance in 1993.
