We are a well-known, established business since 1972 and the company was purchased by Peter Cooch in March 2016. Peter has 38 years experience in many aspects of the lifting equipment industry and previously been employed by several of our valued suppliers. Sydney Lifting Equipment started out selling lifting equipment to crane and construction companies in the local area, but it wasn't long before we started supplying mooring companies with chain, swivels and shackles. This then lead to marinas buying slipway cables and, in turn, lead to the manufacture of boat rigging. Stainless steel balustrading has become extremely popular and we are able to offer many different styles of fittings and also do it yourself products and swaging equipment. Over the years we have expanded our product range to meet the changing needs of industry. We have helped with building Sydney's infrastructure, with the supply of materials for the construction of such projects as Darling Harbour, Northside Storage Tunnel, Sydney Olympic Stadium & Harbour Tunnel. Many of the city's high rise buildings were constructed using lifting material supplied by our company. We have supplied materials in such diverse applications as, marine research, sewage plants, amusement rides, waste management, emergency rescue and the entertainment industry.
