Custom Programs, Inc. was founded in 1993 by David & Cheri Swan. The company has humble roots in the corporate incentives industry, having developed turn-key incentive programs for a wide range of clients. Through the mid nineties, the company landed several major contracts with automakers for in-dealership marketing efforts and product launch programs. By the late nineties, Custom Programs' OEM work had evolved from one-off projects to full programs, managing merchandising and promotions, order taking, fulfillment, and reporting. In 1997, Custom Programs launched its Competitive Price Comparisons program, InteliChek, to dealers nationwide. InteliChek has grown to manage the competitive shopping for over 15,000 dealership service departments since its inception. In 1999, Custom Programs launched its Accessory Personalization System (APS), a complete selling system for dealers to merchandise and sell accessories. The current version of APS is 3.0, used in the Jack Gear selling system.
