Custom Choc Pty Ltd is an Australian family owned, wholesale chocolate manufacturer, established in 1984. The founder, John Wood, has fifty years experience in the confectionery industry. John was the chief confectioner at Hoadley's Chocolates for many years, then Technical Manager and Production Director at Red Tulip for sixteen years, and subsequently set up Ballantynes of Melbourne. Peter Wood, John's son, is the Managing Director and was formally trained in Confectionery Technology in Soligen at the German Central Technical School for Confectionery in 1991. Peter has managed the business successfully for the past twenty years. Custom Choc manufactures a wide range of very competitively priced compound and chocolate products to the wholesale, distributor and bulk markets throughout Australia and New Zealand. Custom Choc supplies major supermarket chains, independents and retailers alike. Custom Choc is HACCP accredited and operates a food-safety management system which complies with the requirements of CAC HACCPVER: 2003. Original certification was achieved in 2002. Custom Choc is remarkably well respected within the Confectionery industry and is a member of the Australian Industry Group.
